About Agoraphobia
Untreated panic disorder often leads to agoraphobia. Agoraphobia is anxiety about or avoidance of places or situations in which escape may be difficult or embarrassing or in which help might not be available. Agoraphobia may develop because once a person suffers panic attacks, he or she is more likely to start avoiding situations in which help may not be available should another attack occur.
